Is tattoo removal painful?

The good news is that having a tattoo removed is less painful than getting a tattoo in the first place.  Many clients define the removal sensation as similar to having a rubber band snapped on your skin.  Our Zimmer Cyro 6 skin cooling system avoids having to use a local anesthetic.  It takes discomfort away from the procedure, making you more comfortable in the process.

Will the tattoo completely disappear?

Our Affinity Q-switched Laser is the world's most advanced tattoo removal system.  Earlier methods of tattoo removal involved using acids, dermabrasion, or surgery.  These procedures left scars or shadows in place of the tattoo.

Lasers are considered the gold standard for permanent tattoo removal today.  Our Affinity Q-switched laser diffuses the light pulses to give you the best results possible.

Is the tattoo removal permanent?

Yes.  Although individual results will vary, what goes away does not return when the laser is used to remove a tattoo.

A free consultation with our Certified Laser Specialists will allow you to ask all of your questions and help you to completely understand the process of removing your unwanted tattoo.  Call us!

How many treatments will I need?

Many variables affect the number of treatments required.  Ethnicity, skin tone, your age, how long you have had the tattoo, the tattoo location, and - most of all - the type and color of ink that was used on your tattoo.  Did you know there are more than 100 different black inks used worldwide by tattoo artists?  We offer a free initial consultation to help you understand these variables.

Blue, black, and red tattoos - the easiest colors to remove - will generally require five to seven treatments for the ultimate results - although we have had good results with as few as two treatments.

More difficult colors - yellow and green - may require nine to twelve treatments for optimum results.

How long will the treatments take?

Tattoo removal is quicker than originally getting inked.  Most treatments require 30 minutes or less.

Where will the treatments take place?

Our professional clinic in Denver is centrally-located in "The Sheridan" building on South Bellaire Street.  Our clinic in Loveland is also easy to find, at Centerra just west of I-25.

Why do people decide to have tattoos removed?

There are as many good reasons to remove a tattoo as there were reasons to get one in the first place.  Quite often, as people prepare for a change in their lives, they consider whether their tattoo reflects the person they have become.

Many clients just don't like the tattoo any longer.  Some have grown to hate it.  Others just say they have moved on.

We found there are a general grouping of reasons.  You might find your own reason here.  We've also included actual reasons emailed to us by our clients:

  • Remove the name of a former loved one

"The name is tattooed in cursive and underlined with 3 hearts surrounding it.  I am no longer with this person."

  • Make real estate available for new tattoos

"Don't like it anymore...might get a smaller one in the same spot."

  • Assist a career change or job advancement

"I absolutely regret it.  I'm about to go to college and get my career started and I hate the way I look with the tattoo and the worst part is that my career requires a lot of personal interaction and I look goofy!! HELP ME!"

  • Marriage

"My husband is so p*****!"   "My wife doesn't like it."

  • Feel comfortable at social events

"I didn't get stupid until I was almost 50.  Now I can't dress for any special occasion without that damn thing sticking out like a sore thumb......time to go!"

Regardless of your reason, we can help.
